2019 Top 30 Under 30

The 2019 Top 30 Under 30 Highlights Albertan Youth working to achieve gender equality, one of the Sustainable Development Goals. 

As the lead on this project, I acted as Communications Coordinator in addition to taking on design responsibilities.

Project Timeline

  • November 2018
    • Launched a Digital Campaign with designed assets across social media to solicit nominations from the public
    • Worked with a committee to review nominations and select youth to receive recognition
  • December 2018
    • Provided guidelines and assistance to the Top 30’s as they wrote about their work
    • Met and photographed Top 30’s who required profile portraits
    • Contracted an external agency to develop an initial design for the print magazine
  • January 2019
    • Adapted narratives to provide the lengths appropriate to web, print, and social media
    • Expanded the magazine design concept and completed the full layout to deliver to the printer 
    • Chose a CMS and developed an interactive website that allowed visitors 
  • February 2019
    • Launched a social campaign with assets that drew attention to each Top 30 during International Development Week
    • Prepared assets such as printed posters and digital slides for a magazine launch event at the University 
    • Event Photography during the launch
    • Collected analytics and compiled a project report to deliver to Global Affairs
